Busy Bee

Attending Radiotherapy every day is quite time consuming, but I'm coping well..... In the mean time I've been designing my website, choosing a domain name, business cards and joining an Art Club which you correspond with people who like myself nutty about Art it's great! Have a look at the link;  http://www.craftcrowd.com/profile/mariavicary

Note: Remember the cat painting down below.....Jackie loves the painting and wrote;
"Thank you for the wonderful picture of Louis
We really love it so much
Love

Cat Portrait

What a busy time I've had with so many comments regarding my web page I do love to hear feedback or suggestions like someone who I can mention, no names "Steve".  I was commissioned to paint a cat for someone I knew his name is Lewis and he's really lovely, I started with rough sketches to get the posture right once I was happy with the outline it was transferred onto acrylic card and then I applied block colours to simplify the likeness, from there I would work in the details using a variety of colours from the palette building the layers spending a lot of time on each section.  I am very proud of the outcome and I believe she will not be disappointed!  I welcome any comments on my blog whom would like to share their thoughts on how my style captures the spirit of the cat.

Looking Back

When I think back I was on top of the world and then to loose everything I had achieved in my life was very upsetting, but I quickly adapted in coping with breast cancer I can't believe time has gone by so quickly since I started my treatment and now I'm almost on the road to recovery until I accomplish Radiotherapy.

During my treatment it has been up and down for me from loosing my hair on my birthday, people find it hard to talk to you even my friends and the way others acknowledge you, but I have support from my family, partners family, his friends. On one occasion attending a wedding of 500 people it felt taunting, but was surprised to be treated like a human being and it felt good!

Who would of thought back then raising funds for cancer and now me coping with breast cancer!.......

On sad moments loosing my beloved pet dog Mizzy who would of been 16 years old, my partners granddad like his was my own as I didn’t have one because he passed away when I was only one I will never forget his kindness and his tight grip on me .... Rest in peace and not long ago sadly missed Sox a beloved pet dog that belonged to my partner’s family as she was quite ill and now in doggy heaven! ......Mizzy on the left and Mickey on the right.

As you can see I have coped quite a lot during the months, but on a high note I have a new addition to my family a little puppy girl named Miyan a chinese crested hairy hairless she is so sweet she received her first rosette from a dog show and she gets on well with my boy Mickey who's 15 yrs and 7 mths which is lovely to see them both together a naughty 6 month pup.  I started to focus my art as a professional artist which I enjoyed quite immensely doing commission work at the moment I'm painting a cat portrait using acrylics on canvas working on many hours to accomplish a likeness to it which would be shown on my next post, so please don't miss out!
